The FutureYOUth Initiative is collecting insight from young people across Connecticut to better understand the conditions shaping their transition into adulthood. On December 9, 2026, those insights come to life through an immersive experience unlike a traditional conference or presentation. Before you see the data, you'll experience the conditions. Only then will you discover what Connecticut's young people have been telling us.

Your day begins by moving through a series of immersive environments inspired by what young people across Connecticut have told us. Only after completing that experience will you gather with everyone else for the statewide Data Reveal, where key findings are shared for the first time.

Too often, data is presented as charts, graphs, and statistics. While those numbers are important, they don't always help us understand the experiences behind them. The FYI Data Reveal was created to bridge that gap. Before you see a single data point, you'll move through an experience designed to help you understand what young people across Connecticut are actually navigating.

For participants who want to go further, an optional afternoon professional learning experience — facilitated by Cornell University's ACT for Youth Center — helps practitioners and youth-serving professionals turn statewide insight into concrete next steps for their own organizations. The FutureYOUth Initiative invites educators, community leaders, employers, practitioners, researchers, policymakers, funders, and partners from across Connecticut to join a statewide conversation about the future of our young people. Together, we can better understand today's youth — and encourage the kinds of conversations that lead to stronger communities tomorrow.
